Good morning, Friends- 🌞
Today is Arbor Day —🌳 good excuse to slow down a bit and appreciate the trees around us (and maybe even plant one). It’s being celebrated locally, too, with an event in Baytown today and another in Mont Belvieu on Saturday, where free tree giveaways are planned.
With the weather cooperating, it’s a great time to get outside, enjoy the fresh air, and maybe take home something that’ll be around for years to come.
Have a great Friday and a wonderful weekend ahead.👋

Former Liberty County Housing Official Arrested Again After New Indictment
A former Liberty County housing official has been arrested again after a grand jury returned a new indictment tied to alleged misuse of public funds.
According to reports, Klint Bush—who previously served as chairman of the Liberty County Housing Authority—was taken into custody following the latest charge and later released on bond.
The new indictment stems from allegations related to his time in office, adding to multiple charges he has faced in recent years, including theft and abuse of official capacity.
Court records indicate the case involves accusations of improper handling of public money, with earlier allegations tied to federal relief funds and other transactions during his tenure.
A court hearing in the case is expected in the coming weeks as proceedings move forward.
