Student Dies After Classroom
Stabbing at Sterling High School
A student has died following a stabbing that occurred during a classroom fight Wednesday morning at Ross S. Sterling High School in Baytown, according to authorities.
Baytown police said officers responded to the incident around 10:42 a.m. Two male students were involved in an altercation inside a classroom, during which one student was stabbed with a pair of scissors. The suspect is 18 years old, and the victim was a minor.
The Goose Creek Consolidated Independent School District placed the campus on a temporary hold as a precaution while the situation was addressed. Parents of both students were notified. The district later lifted the hold and confirmed there is no ongoing threat to students or staff.
Official Press Release from the Goose Creek CISD:
On December 17, 2025, a student at Sterling High School was transported from the campus by ambulance and later life flighted to the Texas Medical Center following a serious injury the student sustained during an altercation with another student. We have now learned that the student passed away. The other student is currently in police custody, and there is currently no known threat to the campus related to this situation. Because this is an ongoing criminal investigation, we will not be releasing additional information at this time. Instead, we ask the Goose Creek community to join us in supporting all students and staff in the aftermath of this tragedy, but particularly the family of the student who lost his life. Additional information about support and resources is being provided to parents and students.

Year End Publishing Update!
As we head into the busiest time of the year, we know your days are full — holiday events, family gatherings, last-minute errands, and everything in between, we don’t want to add to the chaos.
To give you a little breathing room (and honestly, to catch our breath too!), we’ll be shifting to a lighter publishing schedule for the next couple of weeks.
Here’s the plan:
• Week of Dec. 22: No editions
• Dec. 30: One special year-end issue
• Back to full schedule: Tuesday, Jan. 6
We’ll still bring you the updates that matter most — just in a slightly slimmer format and fewer emails.
We appreciate every single one of our readers and are grateful to be part of your daily routine. ❤️
Thank you for being here with us — more good things ahead!

🛍Local Garage, Yard & Estate Sales!🏷
Please help us spread the word: share this newsletter with your friends, neighbors, and anyone who loves a good deal. Encourage them to subscribe so they never miss a sale. And if you're planning a sale of your own, be sure to submit your info by Tuesday at 5 PM to be included in this week’s issue!
Friendly Note: Garage and Estate sales are as unpredictable as the Texas weather—sometimes they pop up, sometimes they blow away! 🌦️ Hosts may change times, addresses, or even cancel altogether. We just share the info; the rest is part of the treasure-hunting adventure. 🛍️
📌 Looks like everyone’s garage decided to go into hibernation — no estate or yard sales today. Honestly, between the cold weather and holiday chaos, we’re just impressed anybody knows where their garage is right now.
