āļø Good Morning & Happy Thursday!
We're getting closer to the weekend, and today's trip down memory lane takes us from the kitchen to the baseball diamond!
On October 8, 1945, Raytheon filed a patent application for the microwave oven. Hard to imagine how many leftovers have been rescued and how many bags of popcorn have been popped thanks to that invention!
And baseball fans may remember October 8, 1956, when New York Yankees pitcher Don Larsen made history by throwing the only perfect game in World Series historyā¾. He retired all 27 Brooklyn Dodgers batters without allowing a single one to reach base. Now that's a day at the ballpark!
Whatever your Thursday has in store, we hope it's a good one. Friday is just around the corner!

Silver Is Up 402% Since 2020. Gold, 186%
Silver has more than doubled gold's return since March 2020, even after a 53% correction from its January peak.
Our research team sees a familiar pattern. Silver's returns more than doubled gold's from 1974 to 1987. After the financial crisis, silver beat gold five-fold in three years.
The reason is size. In 2025, investors put about $15.6 billion into physical silver and silver ETFs, against $111.2 billion for gold. Small inflows move silver hard.
Silver is also in its sixth straight annual supply deficit. The Ultimate Silver Playbook explains what the team expects next. It's free.

Baytown Fire Department Adds Sixth Ambulance to Emergency Fleet
The Baytown Fire Department placed a new ambulance, Medic 1, into service on October 1st to help meet the city's growing demand for emergency medical services.
Stationed at Fire Station 1, the new unit brings the department's fleet to six advanced life support ambulances available 24 hours a day. Staffing at Station 1 has also expanded to accommodate the additional unit.
City officials, fire department personnel, and emergency services representatives gathered for a traditional push-in ceremony marking the ambulance's arrival. The custom dates back to the days of horse-drawn fire equipment, when crews had to manually push apparatus into station bays.
