🐶 Good Morning & Happy Friday!
We made it to Friday — and today we have a pretty good reason to say “Good grief!” in the nicest possible way.
On October 2, 1950, Charles Schulz’s Peanuts comic strip made its newspaper debut, introducing readers to Charlie Brown and the beginnings of a gang that would eventually include Snoopy, Lucy, Linus and plenty of life lessons mixed with laughs.
More than 75 years later, Charlie Brown is still trying, Lucy is probably still offering advice whether anyone wants it or not, and Snoopy still seems to have life figured out better than the rest of us. 🐾
So channel your inner Snoopy, do a little happy dance because the weekend is almost here, grab your coffee, and let’s see what’s happening around our area today. 💙

The CBD Brand that Actually Does What It Says
CBD is having a moment and CBD brands are everywhere right now. But with so many options, it can be tough to know what to look for – and which brands actually follow through on their claims.
That’s where CBDistillery sets itself apart. For the past decade, all of CBDistillery's products have been made with non-GMO, US-grown industrial hemp and with 100% clean ingredients – no corn syrup or artificial colors, flavors, preservatives or sweeteners.
They frequently introduce new and innovative products formulated to meet a variety of wellness needs and customer preferences. And every single batch of CBDistillery’s gummies, oil tinctures, topicals and softgels are tested by an independent, accredited lab to make sure what’s in the package matches what’s on the label.
Right now, CBDistillery is offering our readers a special deal: save 50% on orders of $75 or more with code NEWS50!

New Investment to Fuel Growth
at Dayton's Gulf Inland Logistics Park
A major new investment is expected to help accelerate expansion at Gulf Inland Logistics Park in Dayton.
New York-based investment firm Wafra announced Thursday that funds it advises have invested in Liberty Development Partners, along with Gulf Inland Logistics Park and CMC Railroad. The existing Liberty management team will continue to lead the development and operation of the facilities.
The approximately 3,900-acre industrial development has grown significantly in recent years and provides businesses with connections to both Union Pacific and BNSF rail networks, as well as access to U.S. 90 and the Grand Parkway.
As part of the continued expansion, Gulf Inland and CMC Railroad are also adding storage capacity for approximately 1,000 additional railcars, which is expected to be operational by the end of the year.
The companies say the new partnership will provide additional capital for infrastructure improvements and continued growth at the Dayton industrial park.
