Convicted Felon Arrested After Missing Chambers County Sentencing
A convicted felon who failed to appear for his sentencing in Chambers County has been arrested following a multi-agency search.
Jamarcus Detreon Robinson, 33, had been found guilty by a Chambers County jury but did not return to court for his scheduled sentencing. His disappearance prompted a search Tuesday involving multiple law enforcement agencies.
Authorities later announced that Robinson had been located and taken into custody.

Pooch-A-Palooza Promises a
Tail-Wagging Good Time in Baytown
Dog lovers, mark your calendars! Pooch-A-Palooza is coming to Jenkins Park on Saturday, September 12th, from 9 a.m.–1 p.m., with plenty of fun for both two-legged and four-legged visitors.
This year's event will feature the Canine Stars Stunt Dog Show, starring talented rescue dogs and their trainers performing jumps, tricks and high-energy stunts. The Canine Stars have even appeared on America's Got Talent!
The fun continues with the Doggie Dash, Mutt Strutt Costume Contest, Weenie Dog Races, adoptable pets, a “Smooch Your Pooch” kissing booth, vendors, food trucks, face painting and more.

NASA Looks to Texas to Help
Train the Next Aerospace Workforce
Texas has been selected as one of seven states participating in a new NASA initiative aimed at preparing more workers for skilled technical careers in the growing aerospace industry.
The Texas Space Commission will lead the state's effort, bringing together aerospace employers, schools, community and technical colleges, and workforce organizations to create clearer pathways into high-demand careers.
NASA says the initiative will focus particularly on skilled jobs such as welders, electricians, machinists and technicians — careers that use advanced technical skills but don't necessarily require a four-year college degree.
The three-year program is part of a $10.5 million NASA investment across seven states and includes partners connected to the Houston-area space industry.
