Crash Causes Major Delays on
East Freeway in Baytown
A major crash involving a commercial truck and cargo trailer shut down all westbound lanes of Interstate 10 at Thompson Road around 2:30 p.m. Thursday, according to the Harris County Sheriff's Office.
The Baytown Police Department said the crash also slowed eastbound traffic because of the center barrier. As of this report, officials have not released details about what caused the crash.
Family-Friendly Evening Nature Walk
Planned for Saturday
Looking for a fun and relaxing family activity this weekend? The Evening Explorers Walk returns to the Baytown Nature Center on this Saturday, July 11th, giving families a chance to experience nature as the sun begins to set.
Designed especially for children ages 3 and up, this easy, one-hour guided walk runs from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. and encourages young explorers to discover the sights and sounds of the outdoors in a calm, unhurried setting.
Admission is $2.50 per person, and space is limited, so advance registration is recommended.
