IKEA Opens New Webster Location,
Its 10th Store in Texas

If you’ve ever made the trek to IKEA for “just one thing” and somehow come home with storage bins, a lamp, a throw blanket and an urge to reorganize your whole house, there’s good news: a new IKEA is opening a little closer to the Greater Baytown area.

IKEA Webster officially opens today, Friday, June 26th, giving East Harris and Chambers County shoppers another nearby option for furniture, home décor and all those small household items you didn’t know you needed until you saw them in a perfectly staged room display.

The new Webster location is not the giant traditional warehouse-style IKEA many shoppers are used to, but it will still offer plenty to browse. According to the company, customers can walk through room displays, get design inspiration, shop home accessories and use digital tools to order larger furniture items for delivery or pickup. That means you can still get the IKEA experience — just in a format built to be a little more convenient for local shoppers.

For Baytown-area residents, the new store could make those home-improvement and “I just need a bookshelf” trips a little easier, especially for anyone who already heads toward Webster or Baybrook for shopping and dining.

And yes, for those wondering, the store will also include a Swedish Bite café with grab-and-go food options — because no IKEA trip feels fully official without at least thinking about the meatballs.
