New Interactive STEM Exhibit Teaches
Kids About Carbon Capture

A new hands-on STEM exhibit is now open at the Mont Belvieu Chambers County Children's Museum, giving young visitors a fun and interactive way to learn about carbon capture technology.

The exhibit, called Capturing Carbon, uses a skee-ball style game to demonstrate how carbon dioxide can be captured, transported through pipelines, and safely stored underground. The exhibit highlights carbon capture efforts taking place right here in Southeast Texas while making complex scientific concepts easier for children to understand.

The project was made possible through support from ExxonMobil, which also contributed $200,000 toward the museum's expansion. Museum officials say that funding will help bring six new interactive STEM exhibits to the community, creating even more opportunities for children to explore science, technology, engineering, and math through hands-on learning.
