Baytown Earns National Recognition
for Communication Efforts
The City of Baytown recently received national recognition for its communication efforts, earning six awards at the National Association of Government Communicators' annual conference.
According to the City of Baytown, the awards recognized a variety of communication projects, including the Baytown Voice magazine, Baytown Breakdown video series, Baby's First Budget video, Reynolds on the Record interviews, the Listening Tour community engagement program, and the Fatherhood Initiative with CoolxDad.
The awards placed Baytown among the top government communication programs in the country. City officials said communities from across the nation praised Baytown's work during the conference, with one attendee joking that their annual goal is to "beat Baytown" in the competition.
The recognition highlights the city's efforts to keep residents informed and engaged through a variety of communication channels.

Nearly 600 community members gathered at Bicentennial Park on May 2nd for ExxonMobil's Baytown Community Picnic.
The family-friendly event featured food, games, hands-on STEM activities, and opportunities to connect with more than 15 local organizations. Participating groups included Lee College, Cool X Dad, Baytown Parks and Recreation, United Way, and several other community partners.
One highlight of the event was a free food distribution organized by Hearts and Hands of Baytown, which provided up to 250 food boxes to area residents.
The picnic was designed to bring neighbors together while showcasing local programs, services, and resources available throughout the Baytown community.
Preparing For Surgery? Don’t Ignore Recovery
Most people spend weeks preparing for surgery itself — but very little time preparing for recovery afterward.
The healing process places major nutritional demands on the body, increasing the need for nutrients involved in tissue repair, immune support, collagen formation, and recovery.
HealFast was physician-formulated specifically for pre- and post-surgery nutritional support with targeted vitamins, amino acids, antioxidants, and recovery-focused nutrients designed for the healing process.
If you have an upcoming procedure or are currently recovering, recovery nutrition may be one of the most overlooked parts of the process.
