Baytown, Lee College Considering
Land Swap Proposal
The City of Baytown and Lee College are considering a proposed land swap as part of long-term planning along the Market StreetāTexas Avenue corridor.
Lee Collegeās Board of Regents is expected to review an agreement next week that would exchange property at 909 Decker for land near the collegeās campus at 900 West Texas Avenue.
The proposal would allow both the City and the college to better align their properties on each side of the roadway. Officials say the move could help support future infrastructure improvements, public spaces, and safer access for students, residents, and visitors.
City leaders say the plan is focused on long-term growth, improved walkability, and stronger connections in the area. More details are expected as the proposal moves through the approval process.

Authorities Recover Body Following
Crosby ATV Crash Into Water
A search for a missing man in the Crosby area has ended after authorities recovered his body, according to reports and officials.
Investigators say the man, believed to be around 20 years old, was riding an ATV near the 1900 block of Gulf Pump Road when he reportedly struck a concrete pylon and went into the water. He did not resurface, prompting a large search effort.
Multiple agencies responded, including the Harris County Sheriffās Office, dive teams, the Crosby Fire Department, and Texas Game Wardens. Crews worked for several hours searching the water before locating the man.
Officials have not released the manās identity. The investigation remains ongoing.
Diesel Spill Reported at PEMEX
Deer Park Along Ship Channel
A diesel spill was reported Sunday at the PEMEX Deer Park refinery dock along the Houston Ship Channel, according to company officials.
The source of the leak was quickly identified and isolated, and crews deployed containment booms to keep the fuel from spreading. Emergency response protocols were activated, and regulatory agencies were notified.
Officials say there are no reported impacts to the surrounding community or ship channel traffic. Cleanup efforts remain ongoing as the situation continues to be monitored.
