Baytown Apartment Outage Tied
to Property Equipment, Not Utility
Residents at a Baytown apartment complex say they have been without power since Saturday night, leaving some without air conditioning, refrigeration, or clear answers on when service will be fully restored.
According to reports, the outage has forced families to throw away food, make alternate living arrangements, and deal with changing restoration timelines. CenterPoint Energy said the issue is related to customer-owned electrical equipment on the property, not utility-owned infrastructure, and that power can be restored once repairs are completed by a licensed electrician.
It remains unclear what specific equipment was damaged or when repairs will be finished. Residents say they are still waiting for a firm timeline and answers as the outage continues.
