The Mont Belvieu Police Department
Issued an “Intersection-101 Refresher” 🚨
Eagle Drive can be bad enough during school zone times and beyond…but please everyone; DO NOT BLOCK INTERSECTIONS! Stop at the designated stop-line and never enter the intersection unless you have enough space to clear it. The drivers on the cross-streets will thank you later 🤣 Seriously, when you (and the 2-guys behind you) squeeze into the intersection after the light changes, it blocks everyone else and causes unsafe congestion in all directions.

Roger Elswick Legacy Award
Congratulations to Gilbert Santana, who was honored with the Roger Elswick Legacy Award at this year’s Evening of Excellence Gala. According to the Foundation, Santana has been part of the Goose Creek CISD Education Foundation since the very beginning and has served in nearly every leadership role, including Board President, Treasurer, and Programs Chair.
His service to public education goes well beyond the Foundation, from participating in bond committees to continuing his work as a Lee College Regent. Foundation leaders say his long-standing dedication, leadership, and generosity have made a lasting impact on both the organization and the community.
