Pregnancy Resource Center East
Celebrates Grand Opening with
Four Ribbon Cuttings
Pregnancy Resource Center East (PRCE) marked an exciting milestone with a series of ribbon cuttings celebrating their Grand Opening at their expanded location in Highlands. On Friday, Aug. 22nd, ceremonies were held with the Highlands Chamber of Commerce and the Huffman-Crosby Chamber of Commerce. Then on Mon. Aug. 25th, PRCE welcomed the Baytown Chamber of Commerce and the Mont Belvieu Area Chamber of Commerce for an additional round of celebrations.
On hand to celebrate the grand opening were PRCE board members, staff, volunteers, and supporters, all excited to share this new chapter for the organization.
Founded on compassion and care, PRCE serves as a haven for young women who are newly pregnant—or think they may be—offering understanding without judgment. The center provides free pregnancy testing and ultrasound services, ensuring women have the knowledge they need to make informed decisions.
Beyond those first steps, PRCE supports mothers and families with a strong curriculum of parenting, prenatal, and newborn/infant classes, walking alongside them all the way through their child’s second birthday. Every service is completely free, made possible by the generosity of the community and the dedication of volunteers.
Executive Director Gail Duhon reflects on her decades-long connection to PRCE: “I was drawn to PRCE back in the early '90s, impressed by their non-judgmental approach and their commitment to helping women make well-informed decisions.”
Now in their larger, expanded location at 610 S. Main St., in Highlands, PRCE continues to grow programs and outreach while remaining true to their mission: to listen, support, and guide women and families through one of life’s most challenging—and most beautiful—journeys.
