Highway 146 Reopens After
Four-Vehicle Crash in Baytown
Baytown Police have reopened Highway 146 at Kilgore Parkway following a serious multi-vehicle crash caused by a driver running a red light.
The crash occurred around 5 p.m. Wednesday when a northbound driver on Highway 146 bypassed stopped traffic at a red light and entered the intersection. The vehicle collided with another that was turning onto Highway 146 from Kilgore Parkway.
The impact caused one of the vehicles to flip into the southbound lanes, striking a third car. That third vehicle was then pushed into a fourth.
One person had to be airlifted to the hospital, while three others were transported by ambulance. The driver of the fourth vehicle was treated at the scene and released.
At this time, the conditions of those hospitalized have not been released.

Baytown Woman Finds
Storage Unit in Ruins💔
An 80-year-old woman from Baytown is heartbroken after discovering that the ceiling of her storage unit had caved in, causing significant damage to items she had carefully stored for over two decades. The contents included furniture, cherished personal belongings, and keepsakes that held deep sentimental value.
The incident happened unexpectedly, and the woman only found out after visiting her unit. To her horror, she saw insulation, broken ceiling panels, and debris strewn across her possessions. Many of the items were soaked or crushed, leaving them beyond repair.
She said she had trusted the facility to keep her items safe and secure. Now, she is left with not only the emotional pain of losing irreplaceable memories, but also the uncertainty of whether she will receive any compensation.
The report highlights a growing concern about the condition and oversight of storage facilities, especially for older tenants who may rely on them as long-term solutions for preserving their family history and possessions.
Local officials and community members have since called for better inspection protocols and clearer accountability from storage companies when incidents like this occur.
