Bartlett Group Expanding Baytown Facility
Bartlett Group is reinforcing its position as a national leader in industrial fabrication, thanks to its specialized divisions—Deltak Manufacturing Inc., Global Mechanical Turnaround Services Inc. (GMTS), and Precision Refractory Services Inc. These companies deliver tailored solutions for complex industrial needs across the country, backed by modern equipment, expert teams, and an unwavering focus on safety and precision.
At the heart of Bartlett Group’s operations is a series of state-of-the-art facilities spread throughout the United States, each with a focus on specialized fabrication capabilities. The group provides services ranging from custom sheet metal fabrication and mechanical repair to advanced refractory systems, meeting the exacting demands of industries such as petrochemical, refining, and power generation.
One of the standout developments is in Baytown, Texas, where Bartlett Group is significantly enhancing its operational capabilities. The Baytown site is undergoing expansion to include 23,000 square feet of climate-controlled workspace, nearly 33,000 square feet of covered fabrication area, and a 50,000-square-foot laydown yard, all set on 13.5 acres of strategically located property. Operated by GMTS and Precision Refractory Services, the facility is designed for large-scale, heavy-duty work, supported by two high-capacity overhead cranes and wide-access bays for transporting oversized components.
The Baytown facility not only serves as a base for mechanical turnarounds but also supports the fabrication of essential refractory components like transfer lines, burner tiles, heater wall panels, and structural fireproofing. A comprehensive range of services—including welding, sandblasting, brick installation, and fireproofing—are offered to meet rigorous industry standards.
Elsewhere, Bartlett Group continues to expand its fabrication reach. In South Point, Ohio, Deltak provides pipe-spool fabrication, protective coatings, and custom insulation. New Iberia, Louisiana, is home to a facility specializing in modular construction, handling complex assemblies such as ASME pressure vessels, pipe racks, and production skids. Meanwhile, in Walker, Louisiana, Deltak’s fabrication center features over 85 welding machines and supports a variety of specialized welding techniques, making it a key resource for advanced steel fabrication.
Across all locations, Bartlett Group is setting new benchmarks in industrial fabrication by combining innovation, capacity, and experience.

ExxonMobil “White House” Implosion
After decades as a Baytown landmark and the city’s tallest building, the 10-story ExxonMobil office tower—fondly known to locals as the “White House”—is set to be brought down by controlled implosion next month.
Located at 2800 Decker Drive, the building’s demolition marks the end of an era. But before that happens, ExxonMobil is offering a unique opportunity: the chance to symbolically push the button!
This one-of-a-kind auction will take place this Saturday, May 10, during the Rotary Club’s Shrimp & Catfish Festival from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Don’t miss your shot at a piece of Baytown history.
