Baytown Woman Charged in
Online Harassment Case
A 25-year-old Baytown woman has been charged after investigators say she repeatedly used social media to harass a registered sex offender and members of his family. According to the Harris County Sheriff's Office, she is charged with harassment and unlawful disclosure of an address after allegedly posting about the family and sharing their home address online.
The family said that while one member is a registered sex offender, they say the alleged online harassment affected the entire household, including relatives who were not involved.
The woman is scheduled to appear in court on July 8. As with all criminal cases, the charges are allegations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.

Mother Asks for Return of Memorial
Honoring Late Son
A Baytown-area mother is asking for the return of a roadside memorial honoring her 16-year-old son, Christian, who was killed in a dirt bike crash just before Christmas 2024. The memorial, which had stood near the crash site for several months, disappeared in late May, and both the City of Baytown and the local homeowners association say they did not remove it.
The family says they are not seeking criminal charges and simply want the memorial and the keepsakes left by loved ones returned. They have since placed a new memorial at the site while continuing to hope for answers.

Former Liberty Police Officer
Indicted by Grand Jury
A former Liberty police officer has been indicted by a grand jury on charges of official oppression and indecent assault following a Texas Rangers investigation. According to court records, the alleged incident occurred in November 2025 while he was employed by the Liberty Police Department.
City officials said the officer was placed on administrative leave after the allegations came to light in December and resigned in February. He turned himself in on Friday and is currently being held without bond.
The investigation remains ongoing, and the charges are allegations. The defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
