Year End Publishing Update!

As we head into the busiest time of the year, we know your days are full — holiday events, family gatherings, last-minute errands, and everything in between, we don’t want to add to the chaos.
To give you a little breathing room (and honestly, to catch our breath too!), we’ll be shifting to a lighter publishing schedule for the next couple of weeks.

 Here’s the plan:
Next week: We’ll publish Tuesday & ThursdayDec. 16 & 18
Week of Dec. 22: No editions
Dec. 30: One special year-end issue
Back to full schedule: Tuesday, Jan. 6

We’ll still bring you the updates that matter most — just in a slightly slimmer format and fewer emails.

We appreciate every single one of our readers and are grateful to be part of your daily routine. ❤️

Thank you for being here with usmore good things ahead!

Stronger Search Skills:
Precinct 8 Deputies and K9s
Finish Intensive Tracking Seminar

Harris County Precinct 8 Deputies K. Peters and A. Rabago recently completed an advanced MAN-tracking course with their K9 partners, Duke and Max. The seminar, hosted by Alpha Search and Recovery, focused on finding missing persons in both city settings and more rugged, rural areas.

The training gave the team new tools and real-world techniques to respond quickly when someone needs help. Throughout the course, Duke and Max showed just how important well-trained K9 units are during search missions—using their tracking skills to support deputies and improve outcomes when every minute matters.

🛍Local Garage, Yard & Estate Sales!🏷

Please help us spread the word: share this newsletter with your friends, neighbors, and anyone who loves a good deal. Encourage them to subscribe so they never miss a sale. And if you're planning a sale of your own, be sure to submit your info by Tuesday at 5 PM to be included in this week’s issue!

Friendly Note: Garage and Estate sales are as unpredictable as the Texas weather—sometimes they pop up, sometimes they blow away! 🌦️ Hosts may change times, addresses, or even cancel altogether. We just share the info; the rest is part of the treasure-hunting adventure. 🛍️

📌 No garage or estate sales on the list today. Not surprising — the weather can’t make up its mind, and folks are too busy decking halls to drag tables into the driveway.

Question Mark What GIF

Thursday’s Quiz: Which Texas state park is home to the nation’s largest concentration of ancient rock art created by Indigenous peoples thousands of years ago?
Answer: B) Hueco Tanks State Park & Historic Site
Hueco Tanks, located near El Paso, contains thousands of pictographs and petroglyphs, some more than 1,500 years old. The natural rock “huecos” that hold rainwater helped early cultures thrive there, leaving behind one of the richest collections of rock art in North America.
